Stories have always been an amazing way for people to come together and connect, whatever the medium - whether it be theater, movies, TV, books, and more.
With limitations on gathering in the first part of 2020 due to COVID-19 - and the uncertainties about being able to gathering in groups difficult, let alone going to the movies or theater, one thing has been evident: writers, no matter the stage in their career, are still writing. And thankfully, technology has made it easier for people to connect with each other.
Come Together: A Virtual Table Read Series is Facebook Community I started in mid-April 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic closures.
This group schedules virtual table readings to help writers, actors, directors - along with other creatives - connect with each other, hone their craft, and have the chance to hear their work read aloud.
If you or a friend of yours would like to have the script you’ve been working on read aloud - or a creative looking to get involved in another capacity or for a project you’re involved, consider joining today.

Just do it. It's scary sometimes but they'll come out better on the other side and you don't really lose anything...The notes afterwards have been very constructive and mindful.
